With the first round of the YMF Loan Australian Superbike Championship only days away, SD Racing is ready to hit the track for the 2007 season...well we think we are anyway. The Australian Superbike championship is shaping up to be one of the best in many years and we are excited to once again be part of the action in the GYTR Superstock Cup. Darren Sciberras will be piloting his Megacycle 2006 model Yamaha YZF-R6, the same bike that took him to 9 th in last years series, only this time he will have the benefit of a full seasons experience under his belt.

"Last year was a very good season in a lot of ways, I learnt a lot and had we couple of good results but there is still so much to learn. Obviously my consistency was a real issue, it's something that not only me but especially my bike will be hoping I can sort out this year. It looks to be another strong year in the Superstock field so I am sure it's going to be truck loads of fun!"

One the back of a very successful 2006, Lisa Brothers will be again piloting her CBR400 but this time in the new MRRDA Formula 400 Tri-State series. After wrapping up both championships she contested last year, the Victorian Formula 400 C Grade and Hartwell 400 Novice championships, Lisa is well aware that this year will be a much bigger challenge.

"After 2006 I have gotten used to competing against the boys but this year will be a much bigger challenge. I am not a novice anymore and the competition in the MRRDA series will certainly be the toughest I have ever faced. Something that will also be new for me is having to learn new tracks on the race weekend. It will be very tough but no doubt a blast.

With the short off season practice time has been minimal however Santa was good enough to stop past Mansfield Motorcycles and pick up a Yamaha YZ250F for Daz and a Honda CRF150RB for Lisa. Both riders have had zero previous dirt bike experience but in just a short time is it clearly obvious that they both..well..suck at it really. Never the less 2007 is likely to see SD Racing take part in a handful of dirt track or motorcross events, just for a bit of fun or humiliation, one of the two but be sure to stay tuned.
