Super Daz Comeback - Take 2 - 15-8-07

SD Racing's Darren Sciberras will make another comeback attempt in the final round of the 2007 GTYR Australian Superstock Cup this coming weekend at Sydney 's Eastern Creek. After sitting out most of the season through injury Darren was set to make his comeback in Queensland , however it all went horribly wrong in practice and his was forced to withdraw from the event after a failure of the front forks sent him tumbling into the turn 2 gravel trap.

Not being too bright, rather than surrender to the fact that his 2007 season is over, Daz will give it one final shot in an attempt to extract a good result out of this though season. The goal this time will be to at least make the starting grid without causing too much destruction to either bike or rider.

"I really, really just want to race! I was bitterly disappointed with what happened in Queensland , I have missed racing so badly that I don't care about anything else other than getting out there and having a crack. The crash in Queensland did aggravate my injuries a little more than first thought but it's all in pretty good order now and I am as ready as I will ever be.

I feel like a little boy on Christmas eve, busting with excitement at the thought of getting back out there. But the way things have gone this year it wouldn't surprise me if the bike exploded when we try and fire it up on Friday morning so I will be keeping my fingers crossed until Sunday night!!!!"
